Teniele G. and Big Mars of Livin Lovely United decided to attend NBA All Star Weekend which was hosted in Charlotte, NC February 15-17th.

They started off at the Epicenter where Mitchell & Ness displayed exclusive NBA All Star Jerseys and hats. Next they tried out the Spectrum Virtual Shooting Basketball Game, Teniele G. was definitely on fire! Big Mars redeemed himself when the two had a basketball shootout with Charlotte’s legend Muggsy Bogues! Muggsy had a high score of 32 and Big Mars came in 2nd place with 29; he might have some skills.

On Sunday, February 17th, Coalition DJ’s of North Carolina hosted a Brunch and Meeting. Teniele G. and Big Mars were able to network and connect with multiple DJ’s, producers, and artists from the area and various other states and cities.

Later that afternoon, Teniele G. and Big Mars stopped by the popular sneaker store Jimmy Jazz where Big Mars tested out the newly released Puma Hoops Uproar Charlotte on a dribble skills course. The event ended with another shooting competition between Teniele G. and Big Mars.

Teniele G. and Big Mars attended The NBA All Star Game between Team Giannis and Team LeBron at the Spectrum Center. Philly rapper Meek Mill opened up the event with a performance of his latest songs. Charlotte native, Anthony Hamilton represented his city by singing the National Anthem. All hip hop fans were excited to see another Charlotte native perform during halftime. J. Cole put on a great show and catered to some of his fans who were able to stand on the court during his performance.

Overall, NBA All Star Weekend 2019 was a great experience and the NBA and their partners did a wonderful job interacting with the fans and visitors.

On December 7, 2018, Chris Archie, the founder of LionHeart Youth Outreach Incorporated hosted his 1st Annual First Responders charity basketball game. The organization collaborated with Potomac Middle School’s multicultural fair in Dumfries, VA. Teniele G. of Livin Lovely United, LLC joined the first responders team representing the U.S Air Force as a veteran. The first Responders team also had representatives from the Prince William County Police Department, Army, and Air Force Reserves; they played against Team LionHeart.

Children and parents of the community filled the stands and their energy was proof that they had a fun-filled Friday evening. During halftime the children were able to have a dance off on the court; it was an amazing sight to see.

LionHeart Youth Outreach Incorporated plans to continue this charity event annually.
